Overview
The EXCEL import data template workbook contains a detailed description of the Outperform integration data model. The workbook is a set of worksheets that reflect the staging tables in the application. The workbook serves two purposes: it describes the tables and can also be used to populate data. The tables are listed in a logical sequence from main dimensions to sales orders, to factors, to the transactions.
All tables are incoming tables.
Outperform applies due care and attention to ensure that the content in this workbook is correct and complete. In the case of discrepancies between the specifications in this workbook and the application, the application takes precedence.
Please take careful notice of constraints on the data, as they are there for both functional and technical reasons. Any removal or modification of constraints will cause malfunctioning of the integration and the Outperform Planning application as a whole.
Each table is independent from each other table, so there are no foreign keys between the ERP staging tables. When Outperform consumes the content of the tables, relationships are imposed. For example, it is not possible to have a BOM that has an output product that has not been defined as a product in the Products table.
The Outperform integration assumes that the data in the tables are correct and complete.
Tables are consumed by stored procedures that run at designated times, or when they are manually initiated by the (administrative) user.
Outperform is defensive and cautious about removing data, especially master-data. The removal of data that is no longer needed is a business process.
