Data Sheltering Specific Columns

It is possible to "shelter" specific columns in the Data Shelter reports, i.e., make those columns editable by the user and not by the data integration/ERP tables. It is currently possible to shelter certain columns in the "Products," "Customers," "Warehouses," and "Suppliers" reports. All reports require the same general steps to shelter a column, with the only differences being the report-specific names. Below are the steps to shelter a specific column in the "Products" report, for example:  

1. Place the column name into the PRODUCT_NOT_INTEGRATED_PROPERTIES option in the System Configurations report. If you have any other column names that are already data sheltered, separate this column name from those using only a comma. For example, shelter the columns "product_desc_14" and "product_desc_15" by writing "product_desc_14,product_desc_15" in the Value column of the PRODUCT_NOT_INTEGRATED_PROPERTIES configuration:
2. Save this change by pressing the "Save" button in the Home tab or by pressing CTRL-S.
3. Go to the "Products" report and open the "Report customizer" using shortcut CTRL-SHIFT-Q (or by searching for "Customize reports" in the search bar).
4. Navigate to the dropdown in the upper left corner of the Report customizer and click STANDARD_PRODUCT_SHELTERED_P... (this should be the last option on the list):
5. The page that appears is intended to contain the same list you entered in the box on the System Configurations report. It will also already shown a handful of columns that are editable by default in the "Products" report. You can add your new column to the list and separate it from the existing column names using a comma:
6. Then, click the "Save" button at the top of the Report customizer to save your changes. The columns listed here will now be sheltered in your instance of Outperform.

Note: in order for columns to remain sheltered across updates, you must save these changes and apply them as a customization OR have the changes added to the client-specific codebase. 

The steps are the same for the other Data shelter reports, except that you would edit the system configuration titled CUSTOMER_NOT_INTEGRATED_PROPERTIES for a column in the "Customers" report, and so on. Then, you would navigate to the specific report and open the Report Customizer as described above to add the report-specific column names.
