Exporting and editing reports in Excel
To export any report to Excel, simply go the report that you want to export, select Sheet from the ribbon and in the Export section of the ribbon, select 'XLS'. A window will pop up for you to select a suitable location to save the Excel file to.
Once a report has been exported to Excel, it is also possible to make changes on the Excel report and then import it back into the Outperform Planning application. This is done by selecting “Import spreadsheet” from the ribbon.
Please note the following when importing excel reports to Outperform Planning:
- The app “Import spreadsheet” is to apply changes made in exported reports, not for importing ERP data which is a different process explained here.
- Any user can export a report to excel.
- Only a user with edit access to a specific report can import and save the changes.
- Once a report has been imported, the report will be shown in the application. All the changes from the spreadsheet will reflect as dark orange blocks and will still need to be saved before they are committed to the database.
